Abigail Dance is a London based violinist and violist with a varied and eclectic career spanning Classical, Jazz, Hip Hop, Pop, World and Gospel music. Recent and upcoming performances include those at Kings Place festival, Southbank Centre, Africa Oyé festival, Ted X Brixton and Ronnie Scott's jazz club as well as a number of recording and performance projects as soloist, chamber musician with the London String Collective and Lyrix Organix Unfold.
Abigail is lead violinist with the London String Collective, Kensington Philharmonic and Angel Orchestras London and guest leader with a number of other ensembles. Her teaching portfolio includes roles as teacher musician with the El Sistema inspired 'In Harmony' programme where she directs both the senior and junior ensembles and as head of early years music teaching for Redbridge Music Service.
Abigail is also delighted to work with Rosetta Life, an organisation which collaborates with stroke survivors to build confidence and community through dance and music. Abigail is honoured to have been invited to participate in the 2021 cohort of the Global Leaders Program which comprises 60 of the most promising music leaders and change makers in the arts taken from 26 nations spanning 6 continents.
