Introducing Flora Valili: cello soloist in November 2025

Flora Valila started to play cello at the age of five with Raju Vidali at Ettelbruck Conservatoire du Nord in Luxembourg. In 2020, Flora moved to London to study with Professor David Cohen and generously received a full scholarship for her undergraduate studies. Flora is currently doing her Master’s diploma with Alexander Chaushian in Royal College of Music.

At the age of 12, Flora made her debut with orchestra playing Haydn Cello Concerto in C after which she has been performing regularly. She has performed throughout Europe as a soloist and with ensembles alike and gained diverse musical experiences by playing in music festivals in Belgium, France, Germany, Italy and England, such as the Ljubljana Festival and Festival Verao Classico in Lisbon.

Flora has also enriched her musical education by attending highly appreciated masterclasses with world-class cellists such as Gary Hoffman, Jens Peter Maintz, Leonid Gorokhov, Claudio Bohorquez, Peter Bruns, Martti Rousi, Raphael Wallfisch, Leonard Elschenbroich and Natalie Clein. Flora is a proud recipient of the Trinity College of London scholarship award, Gladys Bratton Scholarship award, Barbirolli Memorial Prize for Cello and winner of Royal College of Music Cello competition, Vivian Joseph Classical concerto competition and Vera Kantrovich Prize, among others.
